Fraud Alert: Google Bans These 8 Cryptocurrency Apps for Fraud Activities

Crypto Fraud Alert: Recently Google has identified 8 apps related to cryptocurrencies. Google Play store has banned and removed these apps because these malicious apps were misleading its users by making fake claims.

According to reports users were installing these apps on their smartphones in the hope of turning rich quickly by using cloud mining services offered by these apps. But these apps are not more than a crypto-mining scam. All these apps did not have any mining operations.

After installing these apps users have to pay anywhere between $15.00 to $20.00 as an additional fee that was falsely said to be boosting the income of users. These apps claim this additional fee will improve mining speed to boost revenue, but this was just a fraud with users.

Here is a Complete List of Apps Banned by the Google Play Store:

  1. BitFunds – Crypto Cloud Mining
  2. Bitcoin Miner – Cloud Mining
  3. Bitcoin (BTC) – Pool Mining Cloud Wallet
  4. Crypto Holic – Bitcoin Cloud Mining
  5. Daily Bitcoin Rewards – Cloud Based Mining System
  6. Bitcoin 2021
  7. MineBit Pro – Crypto Cloud Mining & BTC miner
  8. Ethereum (ETH) – Pool Mining Cloud

These apps were earning from a monetization method. These apps show ads to their users and ask them to watch more ads to earn more.

According to a blog published on Cybersecurity firm Trend Micro, “These apps, which do not have cryptocurrency mining capabilities and deceive users into watching in-app ads, have affected more than 4,500 users globally from July 2020 to July 2021.”

Now if you are also using these apps in your smartphones to earn income from crypto mining then remove them immediately.
