Poly Network is Hacked at least $611 Million Stolen in this Cross Chain Hack

Shocking News for Poly Network Users: Today we have bad news for Poly Network users. Today Poly Network and Binance have announced on their Twitter that the Poly Network has been hacked by some hackers. In this cross-chain hack, at least $611 Million was Stolen and transferred to hackers.

The Poly Network based on Cross-chain protocol has been attacked on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Ethereum (ETH), and Polygon (MATIC) and hacked for $611 million in the largest DeFi hack to date.

The Poly Network has announced on their official Twitter handle, “Important Notice: We are sorry to announce that #PolyNetwork was attacked on @BinanceChain @ethereum and @0xPolygon
Assets had been transferred to hacker’s following addresses:
ETH: 0xC8a65Fadf0e0dDAf421F28FEAb69Bf6E2E589963
BSC: 0x0D6e286A7cfD25E0c01fEe9756765D8033B32C71″.

The CEO of Binance Changpeng Zhao also announced this news on his official Twitter handle, “We are aware of the http://poly.network exploit that occurred today. While no one controls BSC (or ETH), we are coordinating with all our security partners to proactively help. There are no guarantees. We will do as much as we can. Stay #SAFU.”

The Poly Network is a protocol for swapping different tokens across multiple blockchains, including, Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Ontology.

The Poly Network also said they have identified the hacker and all funds have been blocked. They will take legal action against the hacker and urge him to return the assets.
