The Largest Smartphone Brand Xiaomi Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments in Portugal

The good news for crypto investors the largest smartphone brand Xiaomi has started accepting Bitcoin payments in its Portuguese branch.

The Mi store Portugal which is an official Xiaomi retailer has been announced on the social media platform Facebook that the customers from Portugal can now purchase Xiaomi devices using cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), Dash, and Utrust token (UTK).

Xiaomi has partnered with Utrust, which is a crypto Payment solution provider to make it possible to accept new crypto payments.

The Xiaomi users can now buy their favorite smartphones, smartwatches, headphones, electric scooters, and other Xiaomi products with BTC, ETH in all official Xiaomi stores in Portugal.

Pedro Maia, the Head of marketing at Mi store Portugal said that “We are a technological, innovative and disruptive brand. That’s why we always want to be one step ahead. We want to give the possibility to all true technology fans to buy their favorite gadgets with what is currently “the most technological money.”

Portugal is also known as a crypto-friendly nation in Europe due to its easy tax policy.

We hope in the future more brands will accept cryptocurrencies as a payment solution.
